The universe of Star Trek spans over 40 years of television and film, as well as various quasi-canonical sources such as reference books, novels and comics. This page is a collection of rules and background material intended to allow for campaigns in the Star Trek universe run using the GURPS 4th edition rules. The Star Trek universe is practically the archetype of the "safe-tech" path described in Ultra-Tech (p. 10). Paradoxically, it also fits fairly closely with the Accelerated TL progression on p. 8. As of 2380 (the latest date seen on-screen in canon Star Trek) the known galaxy is almost universally TL12.
