Gurps, now in it's 4th edition, is a generic and universal role playing system, making it fairly unique among role playing games. Similarly suitable for Fantasy, Science Fiction and Horror, for realistic games and for cinematic campaigns, gurps has the highest amount of world books ever published, allowing you to run a campaign in almost every setting imaginable. Most of the book having published earlier for the 3rd Editiona re still usable with the 4th Edition, following only some minor rules for conversion - the core game system is unchanged, after all.
GURPS relies on "regular" six sided dice only, using three of them in most situations.
